I recently completed a painting of my gorgeous dog Maisie. She's half springer spaniel and half poodle (sometimes called a spoodle, similar to a cockerpoo)meaning she looks like a big fluffy teddy-bear most of the time. I've tried to paint her before with limited success, since she is so long haired she always ended up looking like a pom-pom with eyes rather than a dog but this time I've finally cracked it.
I actually used a different photo from the same day for her eyes since there was too much fur covering them. I removed her collar too.

Work in Progress - Corgi Cross.
This painting is actually of my own dog. She's called Alice, she was born on 4.7.2013. She's very naughty energetic and she loves everyone. This was painted from a photo taken in late March 2014, a week before she unexpectedly lost her sight.
Her personality is as big and bouncy as ever, she's the happiest dog you will ever meet and we love her to pieces. This was an important painting for me to make and I worked really hard on it. It's a surprise piece for my mum so I'm popping it up here to show my readers and hoping she doesn't stumble across it and ruin her birthday surprise.

Work in progress - December
This was the last painting I completed in 2014. It's of a fabulously handsome horse called Zac and his equally fabulous owner, Maria.
I thought I'd give you a cheeky in progress view of my work - the photos aren't the best quality as they were mostly super quick snaps after many hours of work. But I love 'em.
